About Jim Peterik
Jim Peterik is an American songwriter and musician who co-founded The Ides of March in 1965 and wrote their hit "Vehicle." He founded the rock band Survivor and co-wrote their Grammy-winning "Eye of the Tiger," the theme from Rocky III, along with platinum hits including "The Search Is Over" and "High On You." He also co-wrote platinum hits for .38 Special including "Hold On Loosely" and "Caught Up in You," and co-authored the best-selling "Songwriting For Dummies."

Following this 2010 interview, Peterik released the acoustic Americana album "The Songs" in 2016 with sold-out shows. The Ides of March completed their 55th anniversary album "Play On" in 2019. He published his autobiography "Through The Eye Of The Tiger" in 2014 and released "River of Music: The Power of Duets, Vol. 1" in 2026.
