About Ellis Paul
Ellis Paul, born Paul Plissey in Fort Kent, Maine, is a singer-songwriter and key figure in the Boston school of songwriting that helped ignite the folk revival of the 1990s. Winner of 14 Boston Music Awards, his music has been featured in Farrelly Brothers films including "Me, Myself, & Irene" and "Shallow Hal." He has released numerous albums and expanded into children's literature with books published by Albert Whitman & Company.

Paul released "The Storyteller's Suitcase" in May 2019, which was named Album of the Year at the 2019 NERFA Conference. His song "I Ain't No Jesus" from that album won Best Folk/Americana/Roots song and Overall Grand Prize at the 16th Annual International Acoustic Music Awards in early 2020.
