About David Cassidy
David Cassidy was an actor and singer who rose to fame as Keith Partridge on the 1970s television sitcom The Partridge Family. His music career included UK chart success with singles including I Write the Songs and The Last Kiss, which reached number six in 1985. He performed on Broadway in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in 1982 and headlined the Las Vegas show EFX at MGM Grand from 1996 to 1998.
Since this interview
Cassidy co-starred in the ABC Family series Ruby & the Rockits with his brothers in 2009 and published his autobiography Could It Be Forever? My Story in 2007. He filed for bankruptcy in 2015. He died on November 21, 2017, at age 67 near Fort Lauderdale, Florida, from liver failure.
