Richard Marx is an American singer-songwriter and producer born in Chicago who achieved remarkable commercial success with his first seven singles all charting in the Top 5, including number-one hits "Hold on to the Nights," "Right Here Waiting," and "Satisfied." Beyond his own recording career, Marx established himself as a sought-after songwriter and producer, crafting hits for artists including *NSYNC, Luther Vandross, Barbra Streisand, and Ringo Starr. His co-write "Dance with My Father" for Luther Vandross won the Grammy for Song of the Year in 2004.
