About Katie Cassidy
Katie Cassidy is an American actress born in Los Angeles, daughter of actor David Cassidy. She gained recognition in horror films including Black Christmas and A Nightmare on Elm Street, and television roles in Supernatural and Harper's Island. Her most prominent role was Laurel Lance/Black Canary in Arrow, which she played from 2012 to 2020, also appearing as Black Siren in The Flash. She made her directorial debut with Arrow in 2020.
Since this interview
Cassidy continued her Arrow role through the series finale in 2020 and directed an episode that season. She won a Best Actress award for the film Grace in 2018 and was cast as Karen Read in the Lifetime movie Accused: The Karen Read Story in 2026.
