About Shelley Long
Shelley Long is an American actress, singer, and comedian best known for her Emmy and Golden Globe-winning portrayal of Diane Chambers on the NBC sitcom Cheers from 1982 to 1987. She earned five Emmy nominations for the role and won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series in 1983. Her film work includes Night Shift, Irreconcilable Differences, Outrageous Fortune, and The Brady Bunch Movie, in which she played Carol Brady. She later had a recurring role as DeDe Pritchett on ABC's Modern Family.
