About Frankie Avalon
Frankie Avalon is an American singer and actor born in Philadelphia who became a teen idol with chart-topping hits including "Venus" (1959) and "Why" (1960). He starred in the popular Beach Party film series with Annette Funicello beginning in 1963 and appeared in The Alamo (1960) and Grease (1978). Over his career he charted 31 U.S. Billboard singles between 1958 and 1962.
