About Stu Cook and Doug Clifford
Stu Cook and Doug Clifford formed the rhythm section of Creedence Clearwater Revival, with Cook on bass and Clifford on drums. Childhood friends from El Cerrito, California, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993. After CCR disbanded in 1972, they formed Creedence Clearwater Revisited in 1995, touring internationally and performing the band's classic catalog including "Proud Mary," "Run Through the Jungle," and "Born on the Bayou."

Since this interview
Cook and Clifford reduced their touring schedule to approximately 50 shows per year by 2016. In April 2019, they announced their retirement from Creedence Clearwater Revisited after nearly 25 years of performing together.
