About Shana Morrison
Shana Morrison is an American singer-songwriter born in Kingston, New York, and daughter of rock icon Van Morrison. She began her recording career duetting with her father on his 1994 and 1995 albums before releasing her debut album Caledonia in 1998. She has toured regularly with her band since 1996, primarily in the Bay Area music scene, and released albums including Everybody's Angel with Roy Rogers, 7 Wishes, and Joyride.
Since this interview
Morrison released the album Joyride in March 2010 on Belfast Violet Records, featuring a duet with Jim Lauderdale. She has continued performing and recording through the 2000s and 2010s.
