About John Sebastian
John Sebastian co-founded The Lovin' Spoonful in 1964, writing and performing hits including "Do You Believe in Magic," "Summer in the City," and "Daydream." He delivered an impromptu performance at Woodstock in August 1969. His solo career yielded the 1976 hit "Welcome Back," which became the theme for the sitcom Welcome Back, Kotter. The Lovin' Spoonful was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000.
