About Gil Bridges
Gil Bridges was a saxophonist and founding member of Rare Earth, Motown's first all-white rock band signed in 1969. He was the only original member to play on every Rare Earth song recorded. The band achieved major success with hits including "Get Ready" (US No. 4, 1970), "(I Know) I'm Losing You" (US No. 7), and "I Just Want to Celebrate" (US No. 7). Bridges performed with the band on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1970 and continued touring until 2020.
