Crystal Gayle, born Brenda Gail Webb in Paintsville, Kentucky, is a country music singer and sister of Loretta Lynn. She achieved crossover success with her 1977 hit "Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue," which won a Grammy and reached number two on pop charts. Her album "We Must Believe in Magic" became the first platinum album by a female country artist. She earned 22 number-one country singles and was named CMA Female Vocalist of the Year in 1977 and 1978.
