About Emelio Castillo
Emilio Castillo co-founded Tower of Power in Oakland, California in 1968 and has led the band as saxophonist and vocalist for over five decades. He co-wrote signature hits including "You're Still a Young Man," "What Is Hip?," "So Very Hard to Go," and "Don't Change Horses." The band's influential 1970s albums on Warner Brothers established their distinctive funk and soul sound, earning them enduring recognition in American music.
