About Sir Elton John
Sir Elton John, born Reginald Kenneth Dwight in Pinner, England, is a British singer, composer, and pianist whose songwriting partnership with lyricist Bernie Taupin produced over 300 million records sold worldwide. His hits include "Rocket Man," "Candle in the Wind," "Crocodile Rock," and "Bennie and the Jets." He composed music for The Lion King and musical theatre works including Aida and Billy Elliot the Musical, achieving EGOT status with five Grammys, two Oscars, an Emmy, and a Tony Award.

His Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour from 2018 to 2023 became the highest-grossing tour ever at the time. He released his autobiography Me in October 2019. The biographical film Rocketman premiered in 2019 starring Taron Egerton. He joined the elite group of EGOT winners in 2024 after earning an Emmy for his concert special.
