About Crystal Gayle
Crystal Gayle, born Brenda Gail Webb in Paintsville, Kentucky, became a country music star known for her crossover appeal and signature floor-length hair. Her Grammy-winning hit "Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue" reached number two on pop charts, and she was the first female country artist to achieve platinum album sales. She won CMA Female Vocalist of the Year five consecutive times from 1976 to 1980.
