About Craig MacGregor
Craig MacGregor was the bassist and vocalist for the rock band Foghat, joining in 1976 to replace Nick Jameson. Known by the moniker "thunder fingers" for his distinctive bass style, he contributed to numerous albums including the multi-platinum "Foghat Live" (1977), which reached number eleven and went double platinum. His studio work with the band included "Night Shift" (1976), "Stone Blue" (1978), and "Boogie Motel" (1979), with his final album being "Under the Influence" (2016).

Since this interview
MacGregor was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer in 2015 and became an advocate for the Patient Test Results Information Act. He stopped performing live after August 2015 but contributed to Foghat's 2016 album. He died on February 9, 2018, at age 68 at his home in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania.
