About Andy Kim – Singer
Andy Kim, born Androwis Youakim in Montreal, is a Canadian pop rock singer and songwriter who achieved international success in the late 1960s and 1970s. He co-wrote the Archies' chart-topping "Sugar, Sugar" and scored his own hits with "Baby, I Love You" and the self-penned "Rock Me Gently," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1974. Kim was the inaugural Juno Award winner for Top Male Vocalist in 1970.
Since this interview
Kim released the album "It's Decided" in 2015, produced by Kevin Drew of Broken Social Scene, and performed on The Late Show with David Letterman. He was inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame in 2018, the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2019, and named Officer of the Order of Canada in 2023.
