About Laura Lynch

Laura Lynch co-founded The Dixie Chicks in 1989, serving as bassist and lead vocalist during the band's early years. She performed on three albums—Thank Heavens for Dale Evans, Little Ol' Cowgirl, and Shouldn't a Told You That—and helped establish the group's bluegrass and country sound. Lynch made the band's Grand Ole Opry debut in 1991 and performed at President Clinton's 1993 inauguration before departing in late 1995.
