About John Durrill
John Durrill is a keyboardist and songwriter from Houston, Texas, who performed with garage rock group The Five Americans on hits including "Western Union" and "I See the Light." He later joined instrumental band The Ventures, touring and recording for many years and co-writing "Kyoto Doll." As a songwriter, Durrill penned Cher's number one hit "Dark Lady," Merle Haggard's chart-topping "Misery and Gin" from the film Bronco Billy, and "The Only Couple on the Floor" for Frank Sinatra.
