About Sam Andrew
Sam Andrew was a founding member and guitarist of Big Brother and the Holding Company, formed in 1965. He played guitar on the band's iconic recordings including "Piece of My Heart" and arranged their celebrated cover of "Summertime," which Guitar Player magazine listed among the top ten psychedelic solos. After leaving Big Brother, he formed the Kozmic Blues Band with Janis Joplin and later served as musical director for the stage production "Love, Janis."
