About Kerry Livgren of Kansas

Kerry Livgren is a founding member and primary songwriter for the rock band Kansas, best known for writing the iconic hits "Carry On Wayward Son" and "Dust in the Wind." He has pursued solo work and instrumental projects, winning a Dove Award for his 1989 album "One of Several Possible Musiks." Livgren later formed Proto-Kaw with original Kansas members and has maintained involvement with Kansas through tours and contributing new material. He operates Numavox Records and GrandyZine Studio from his farm in Topeka, Kansas.
