About Gloria Gaynor
Gloria Gaynor is an American disco singer born Gloria Fowles in Newark, New Jersey. She became internationally known for her 1978 anthem "I Will Survive," which sold over 15 million copies worldwide and earned her the first and only Grammy Award for Best Disco Recording in 1980. Her 1974 hit "Never Can Say Goodbye" was the first song to top Billboard's dance chart. She later won a second Grammy in 2020 for Best Roots Gospel Album.
