About Chuck Negron
Chuck Negron was a founding member and lead vocalist of Three Dog Night, formed in 1967. He sang lead on the band's biggest hits including "Joy to the World," "One," "An Old Fashioned Love Song," "Easy to Be Hard," and "The Show Must Go On." After battling a 26-year drug addiction, he achieved sobriety in 1991 and became an advocate for people with substance abuse issues. He authored the autobiography "Three Dog Nightmare" and continued performing solo.

Since this interview
Negron released the album "Negron Generations" in 2017 and an updated version of his autobiography in 2018. He continued his solo career until the COVID-19 pandemic. He died on February 2, 2026, at age 83 at his home in Studio City, California.
