About Carmine Appice
Carmine Appice is a rock drummer who rose to prominence with the psychedelic band Vanilla Fudge in the late 1960s. He co-founded the blues rock quartet Cactus and performed in the power trio Beck, Bogert & Appice with Jeff Beck. Appice co-wrote Rod Stewart hits including "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?" and "Young Turks." His instructional book The Realistic Rock Drum Method sold over 400,000 copies. He was inducted into the Classic Drummer Hall of Fame in 2013 and Modern Drummer Hall of Fame in 2014.

Appice published his memoir Stick It!: My Life of Sex, Drums & Rock 'n' Roll in 2016. He released the Energy Overload album in 2021 with Fernando Perdomo and a "Running Up that Hill" collaboration in 2023. Cactus released Temple of the Blues II featuring multiple guest artists.
