About Tommy Roe

Tommy Roe is an American rock and pop singer-songwriter from Atlanta, Georgia, who achieved chart-topping success in the 1960s and early 1970s. His signature hits include "Sheila" (1962) and "Dizzy" (1969), both reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Other notable singles include "Sweet Pea" (1966) and "Jam Up and Jelly Tight" (1970). He was inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in 1986.

Tommy Roe announced his retirement from scheduled concerts and interviews in February 2018 after 55 years in music. He later released the single "80" in May 2022 for his 80th birthday, followed by the album "From Here to Here" in January 2023. In April 2023, he announced his first live performances since retirement, with concerts scheduled for Nashville and Holmdel.
