About Smokey Robinson
William 'Smokey' Robinson is a singer-songwriter and record producer who fronted The Miracles and became a cornerstone of Motown Records. He wrote and produced hits including 'Shop Around,' Motown's first million-seller, and 'The Tracks of My Tears.' Robinson also crafted songs for The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, and Mary Wells. He served as Vice President of Motown from 1961 to 1988 and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1987.
