About Richard Karn
Richard Karn Wilson is an American actor, author, and game show host best known for his role as Al Borland on the ABC sitcom Home Improvement from 1991 to 1999. He served as the fourth host of Family Feud from 2002 to 2006 and later hosted Bingo America on Game Show Network. Karn has reunited with Tim Allen for several Tool Time-inspired projects and appeared in the Hulu series PEN15.
Since this interview
Karn reunited with Tim Allen to co-host Assembly Required in 2021 and executive produce More Power in 2022, both Tool Time-inspired shows. He appeared as Fred Peters in Hulu's PEN15 from 2019 to 2021 and joined the cast of Shifting Gears in 2025.
