Stephen Tobolowsky is an American character actor and writer born in Dallas, Texas. He is widely recognized for his role as insurance agent Ned Ryerson in Groundhog Day and amnesiac Sammy Jankis in Memento. His extensive television work includes recurring roles in Deadwood, Heroes, and Glee. He also created The Tobolowsky Files, a monthly audio podcast featuring autobiographical stories, and has appeared in numerous films and TV shows throughout his decades-long career.
