About Johnny Sylvia
Johnny Sylvia was the bass singer and original member of The Tune Weavers, a doo-wop group from the Boston area. The group achieved national success with their 1957 hit "Happy, Happy Birthday Baby," which peaked at number five on the pop charts and sold over two million copies. The Tune Weavers performed at legendary venues including the Apollo Theatre in Harlem and the Brooklyn Paramount, and received a Doo-Wopp Hall of Fame Lifetime Achievement Award in 2003.
