About Dick Van Patten
Dick Van Patten was an American actor whose career spanned seven decades across Broadway, television, and film. He began performing on Broadway at age seven and appeared in 27 stage productions. Van Patten starred as Tom Bradford in the television series Eight Is Enough and played Nels Hansen in Mama. His film credits included Spaceballs, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, and Soylent Green. He co-founded Natural Balance Pet Foods in 1989.
