Cheryl McGuinness is the widow of Tom McGuinness, co-pilot of American Airlines Flight 11 on September 11, 2001. She authored "Beauty Beyond the Ashes," published by Howard Books, chronicling her faith and healing journey after the tragedy. McGuinness founded a ministry of the same name and became a motivational speaker, appearing on MSNBC, Good Morning America, CNN, The 700 Club, and Fox News. She christened the USS New Hampshire submarine in 2007 and was invited to the White House by President George W. Bush.
