About James Allen Hendrix
James Allen 'Al' Hendrix was the father of rock legend Jimi Hendrix and chairman of Experience Hendrix, L.L.C., the family company managing his son's musical legacy. He worked as a plumber, electrician, and gardener throughout his life. In 1993, he filed a multimillion-dollar fraud lawsuit to recover rights to his son's music. He authored the book 'My Son Jimi' in 1999, sharing his perspective on raising the iconic guitarist.
