About Stan Zabka
Stanley William Zabka was a songwriter, television director, and filmmaker whose career spanned music and entertainment. He co-composed "Chimes," the original Tonight Show theme, and co-wrote the Christmas standard "Christmas Eve In My Home Town," recorded by Kate Smith, Bobby Vinton, and others. Zabka won an Emmy Award directing the daytime serial "The Doctors" and served 22 years as Associate Television Director at NBC, including five years with Johnny Carson's Tonight Show. He also worked as assistant director on films including "Romancing the Stone" and "Midnight Run."
