About Carmine Appice
Carmine Appice is an American rock drummer born in New York City who gained prominence with Vanilla Fudge and later formed the hard rock band Cactus. He performed in the power trio Beck, Bogert & Appice and co-wrote hits including "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?" and "Young Turks" with Rod Stewart. His influential instructional book "The Realistic Rock Drum Method" was first published in 1972. Appice was inducted into the Classic Drummer Hall of Fame in 2013 and the Modern Drummer Hall of Fame in 2014.

Appice published his memoir "Stick It!: My Life of Sex, Drums & Rock 'n' Roll" in 2016 with a foreword by Rod Stewart. He released "Sinister" with brother Vinny Appice in 2017 and "Energy Overload" with guitarist Fernando Perdomo in 2021. Cactus released "Temple of Blues II" on Cleopatra Records in April 2026.
