About Brian Wilson
Brian Wilson co-founded The Beach Boys and shaped the surf sound with orchestral arrangements and vocal harmonies. He wrote and produced hits including "Good Vibrations," "California Girls," and "Surfin' U.S.A." His 1966 album "Pet Sounds" became a landmark work. Wilson was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1988 and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2000.

Since this interview
Wilson released the solo album "No Pier Pressure" in 2014 and published his memoir "I Am Brian Wilson" in 2016. He was placed under court conservatorship in May 2024 following his wife Melinda's death. Wilson died on June 11, 2025 in Beverly Hills, California at age 82.
