About Ralph Johnson

Ralph Johnson is a percussionist and vocalist for Earth, Wind & Fire, joining founding members Maurice White, Philip Bailey, and Verdine White in a partnership spanning three decades. The band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2000 and received six Grammy Awards plus two honorary Grammys. Johnson contributed as a songwriter and producer, notably co-writing "Sounds Like a Love Song," later sampled by Jay-Z. The group received a Hollywood Walk of Fame star in 1995 and Kennedy Center Honors in 2019.
