About Denny Zager of Zager & Evans
Denny Zager formed the musical duo Zager & Evans with Rick Evans in 1962. The pair co-wrote and performed "In the Year 2525," which became the number one song of 1969. They performed at Woodstock in 1969 and appeared on The Tonight Show, The Ed Sullivan Show, and other major television programs. After the duo split, Zager taught guitar for nearly three decades before becoming a custom guitar builder, creating his "Easy Play" guitar line.
