About Bob Denver

Bob Denver was an American comedic actor who became a television icon through two signature roles. He first gained fame as beatnik Maynard G. Krebs on The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis from 1959 to 1963, then achieved enduring popularity as the bumbling first mate Gilligan on Gilligan's Island from 1964 to 1967. Denver reprised the Gilligan character in multiple television reunion movies and later starred in the western-themed sitcom Dusty's Trail.
