About Ric Lee
Richard "Ric" Lee is an English drummer who co-founded the blues rock band Ten Years After in 1966. He performed at the legendary Woodstock Festival in 1969 and played on the band's best-known tracks including "Love Like a Man" and "I'd Love to Change the World." Lee also appeared at the Isle of Wight Festival in 1970 and continued performing with Ten Years After through multiple lineup changes and reunions over five decades.
Since this interview
Lee published his autobiography "From Headstocks to Woodstock: A Drummer's Tale" in 2019, covering his life through Woodstock. Ten Years After released the studio album "A Sting in the Tale" in 2017 and secured a new US record deal with Deko Entertainment in 2021. As of 2023, Lee continued touring with Ten Years After alongside original keyboardist Chick Churchill.
