About Tony DeFranco
Tony DeFranco was the lead singer of The DeFranco Family, a Canadian pop group from Port Colborne, Ontario. The band achieved major success with their 1973 hit "Heartbeat - It's a Lovebeat," which reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100 and number one on the Cash Box chart, selling over two million copies. DeFranco became a teen idol with nine appearances on American Bandstand and prominent features in Tiger Beat magazine. He later transitioned to a career in real estate with Sotheby's International in southern California.
