About Spanky McFarlane
Elaine 'Spanky' McFarlane fronted the vocal group Spanky and Our Gang from 1966 to 1969, earning the nickname 'The Queen of Sunshine Pop.' The group scored hits including 'Sunday Will Never Be the Same,' 'Lazy Day,' and 'I'd Like to Get To Know You.' She later performed with The New Mamas & the Papas, singing Cass Elliot's parts, and reinstated Spanky and Our Gang in the 2000s. McFarlane also appeared in films and theater productions.
