About Livingston Taylor (second interview)

Livingston Taylor is an American singer-songwriter and folk musician, brother of James Taylor. He achieved Billboard success in the late 1970s and early 1980s with hits including "I Will Be in Love With You" and "First Time Love." For over three decades, he has taught stage performance at Berklee College of Music, where his students have included John Mayer and Charlie Puth. He authored the textbook "Stage Performance" and maintains an active touring schedule.

Since this interview

Taylor released "Symphonic Steps" in January 2025, recorded with the 58-piece BBC Concert Orchestra at Maida Vale BBC Studio in London. A 2018 documentary about his life, "Livingston Taylor: Life is Good," won The Van Gogh Award at the Amsterdam International Film Festival. He continues to perform more than 100 shows annually.
