About Kay Hanley
Kay Hanley is an American singer and songwriter best known as lead vocalist of the alternative rock band Letters to Cleo. She provided the singing voice for Josie in the 2001 film Josie and the Pussycats and has written songs for numerous animated television series including Doc McStuffins and Ada Twist, Scientist. Her songwriting work earned her an Emmy Award in 2022 and a Peabody Award. She serves as co-executive director of Songwriters of North America.
