Warren Adler was an American novelist best known for his 1981 dark comedy novel "The War of the Roses," which was adapted into the 1989 film starring Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner. Over his career, he authored more than two dozen novels, including "Random Hearts," which became a film starring Harrison Ford, and "The Sunset Gang," adapted for PBS. His work explored themes of marriage, relationships, and family dynamics across multiple generations.
