Stewie and Peter Griffin are animated characters from the Fox television series Family Guy, which debuted in January 1999. Voiced by creator Seth MacFarlane, Stewie is portrayed as a highly intelligent and precocious toddler who became a breakout character of the series. MacFarlane won a Primetime Emmy Award in 1999 for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance for voicing Stewie. The characters have appeared in video games, direct-to-video films, and the critically acclaimed Road to episodes.
