About Demond Wilson
Demond Wilson was an actor best known for playing Lamont Sanford opposite Redd Foxx on the NBC sitcom "Sanford and Son" from 1972 to 1977. He appeared in the film "Cotton Comes to Harlem" in 1970 and later starred in "Baby, I'm Back" and "The New Odd Couple" as Oscar Madison. Wilson became an ordained Pentecostal minister in the 1980s and published his memoir "Second Banana: The Bittersweet Memoirs of the Sanford & Son Years" in 2009.
