About Legendary film producer Roger Corman
Roger Corman was a prolific film director and producer who created over 500 low-budget films throughout his career. Known as the 'King of the B-movies,' he directed classics including The Little Shop of Horrors and eight Edgar Allan Poe adaptations. He launched the careers of Francis Ford Coppola, Jack Nicholson, Martin Scorsese, Peter Bogdanovich, and Jonathan Demme. Corman received an Academy Honorary Award in 2009 for his contributions to film and filmmakers.

Since this interview
Corman continued producing creature films for television throughout the 2000s and 2010s, including Dinocroc, Dinoshark, and Sharktopus for the Syfy channel. He partnered with Shout! Factory in 2010 to release DVD editions under 'Roger Corman's Cult Classics.' He passed away on May 9, 2024, at age 98 in Santa Monica, California.
