About Rico Petrocelli
Rico Petrocelli played shortstop and third base for the Boston Red Sox from 1963 to 1976. A two-time All-Star, he set the American League shortstop home run record with 40 homers in 1969 and appeared in two World Series. He finished his career with 210 home runs and 773 RBIs across 1,553 games. Inducted into the Boston Red Sox Hall of Fame in 1997, he later authored books about the team's storied 1967 season.
