About Lou Gorman
Lou Gorman served as General Manager of the Boston Red Sox from 1984 to 1993 and previously held the same position with the Seattle Mariners from 1977 to 1980. He built the 1986 Red Sox team that came within one strike of winning the World Series. Gorman was inducted into the Boston Red Sox Hall of Fame in 2002 and authored two books about his baseball career.

Lou Gorman passed away on April 1, 2011, at age 82 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He published a second memoir, 'High and Inside: My Life in the Front Offices of Baseball,' in 2007.
