About Christopher Rich
Christopher Rich Wilson is an American actor born in Dallas, Texas, best known for his television work spanning four decades. He portrayed the dim-witted anchorman Miller Redfield on CBS's Murphy Brown from 1989 to 1997, and later starred as Brock Hart, the ex-husband of the title character, on the WB's Reba from 2001 to 2007. His other notable roles include attorney Melvin Palmer on Boston Legal and Eric Charming on The Charmings, as well as film appearances in The Joy Luck Club and Flight of the Intruder.
Since this interview
Rich suffered a massive stroke in 2018 that initially disabled the left side of his body. Through therapy and experimental treatment, he recovered much function by February 2025, regaining the ability to walk without assistance. He returned to acting with roles in Bedtime Stories: Tales of Love and Hate in 2024 and Deep River in 2025.
